Christmas Day Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Today is the day that we remember and celebrate the birth of Your Son, Jesus. I know many would say it is a day made up of more pagan rituals than Christian practice, and they could and do make a good argument, but I choose this day to reflect of the greatest gift ever given, the life of your Son. And we will gather and give each other gifts out of our love for each other, just as You, out of Your great love for us, gave us Your Son... and thus, Yourself, in human form.
What can we possibly say in response to this? Words are not enough. When we begin to realize the depth and magnitude of the Gift, we fall before You in worship and adoration. We give ourselves to You, out of a grateful heart, out of our response to Love Incarnate.
Father, here in this land, the ole us of a, life is changing. Hard times are upon us and our very way of viewing the world is changing as many of us are finding the economy collapsing about us. We have not remembered to put Your kingdom first and to love others as ourselves. We have not stood and fought to retain the freedoms won for us by our forefathers, nor have we taught our children diligently of meaning and cost of Liberty. And now we are beginning to reap what we, our parents, and the generations before have sowed. So I ask that You would have mercy on us. That you would continue to raise up strong men, men who know history and the true meaning of Liberty, to lead the way back to our county's foundation.
May we not forget that this nation was founded on the principles found in your Word. May we again seek Your principles out, study them, learn to apply them, and teach them to our children with great care and diligence. May we humbly come before You in prayer, with faith, recognizing that there is life beyond this one, and that we have hope for true Liberty in Christ, even if we cannot experience Liberty here in this country any longer. May we realize that there are fates worse than death. May we find the strength we will need to face the future and remain true to our mission. May we be prepared to endure what lies ahead.
I also pray for those who will be on Liberty's front line. It will not be a fun place to be and I know there are tears and grief ahead. Help them, Father, to continue on, fighting and demanding and standing for Truth and Justice and to re-establish a country where we can be free once more. Protect them. Let them know there are many of us here, like me, who are too old or too infirm, or too physically limited, to fight on the same plane as they do; but who will pray for them, work behind the scenes, and thank them for their efforts and for their sacrifice.
Grant us all the stubborn will to continue in the face of persecution and threats from the ptb. Let our voices still be heard, let the sheeple continue to awake and become aware of the true battle raging in this world and join us.
Surround us with Your favor and uphold by your Grace,

Heading for the second american civil war

I have my favorite blogs as most of us do. Purusing them today has not been fun, or should I say more upsetting than usual. I don't think it will be long before we will be at war, and it will be on our soil, and brother against brother again, "get its" agaisnt "don't get its" and there won't be a place to hide. The people with their head in the sand will be forced to pull it out and look about. The question will be wheter they will believe the well-oiled media machine or the common sense of the prepper and the constitutionalist.
I am just wondering how long before our elected leaders will all have body gaurds and bullet proof vests because it will not be safe for them to go about in public, ditto the supremes.
I don't like violence, but I can put 2 and 2 together and too many people are getting pushed into a wall with no where else to go. I know if I was falsely accused and arrested and deemed an enemy combantant, I would hope someone would come to my defense. I fear this is what we will begin seeing all too soon. I hope and pray that many of our leo's and military peeps are aware and a huge amount are on board with "orders we will not obey' so the goons can't use our own troops against us.
And something else that bothers the you know what out of me is how everyone is so "patriotic" and so many "support the troops" and do not even begin to see that we should not be using our troops as a u.n. police force. Dear Lord in Heaven why can't the sheeple see the injustice of this?
We are so going the way of Germany via WWII. We have the example of what happened to them; but I fear the majority will not wake up, will refuse to demand a stop to the loss of our human rights.
Many are trying to pull out of the beast and not support it, but it is not easy task. Yes, some of us can work and get paid under the table, but most can't. If we were just allowed to really own our land instead of having to rent it from the government, pulling out would actually be doable, but then we would border on being free and not be their little worker bees.
Well, I guess the more that pull out, the better. Just wish we had a Gulch to dissappear to. If we did, I would be there in a heartbeat. Less than a heartbeat.

Random Thoughts

Have ya ever noticed how and when language changes? May I point out the changes over the years in the words we use? Thirty years ago who would have thought that we would all know that a mouse is a necessary work tool in the “information age” and everyone would begin to call mail, snail mail to differentiate the difference between it and email? So as times change the language can reflect that, but also as change is forced onto a people, or manipulated into a people, language is used as a tool. I remind you, dear reader, of the novel 1984 and how language was approached and controlled in order to control the populace.

In fact just thinking about 1984, I am feeling a need to go back and reread it, as I sometimes feel I am living it. The best example as of late is the President's push for “mandatory volunteerism.” How can volunteering be mandatory and still be something you do voluntarily? And yet have you heard even one reporter challenge the concept or point out this oxymoron? I have not, but I cannot be everywhere all the time. (Smile.)

Mandatory volunteerism. Could slavery be made to sound any better than this? I think not. George Orwell would have been proud.

Anyway, the point is we are being duped on every side and it is very hard to get at the truth, for in my view there is no more “truth in reporting.” I don't think they even try to report the truth or be objective any more. Which reminds me of how every single time I have had the newspaper report on a function I have attended or quoted me in their publication, they have been wrong. ARG. How can they take such, how shall I say it....liberties? But take them they do...literally. (Can't words me fun!) But I challenge you to begin to pick up on how we are being manipulated with words and how we are being out-right lied to.

I was going to post about the word and concept of patriotism, but perhaps another day...

Most of my readers know that I want my God-given liberties back and someday, by His grace, I will have them. I have taken to saying I was born into slavery, but hope to die a free man.
Which leads me to my main point today. I just got my new copy of Backwoods Home mag and again it has an excellent article addressing our liberties lost, titled “Abandoning the Constitution! (Who's to blame for the loss of rights?)” Written simply, without malice or a preachy-type feeling, it approaches the subject of our Constitution and what it stands for in a very low key, yet informative manner.

Good publication, Backwoods Home. I highly recommend it. But the current article should be spread far and wide to help open the eyes of the sheeple. I do not know if it will be one that they post on their website or not. But I encourage you to go out and find the Jan/Feb 2010 issue in order to have this most excellent article and let it start you on a journey of research to see whether the things that are stated are so...they are, but some of you need to gather your own proof. And some of you just need something to hand to a loved one and say, “I just read this and it really got me to thinking...and I was wondering if you would read it and tell me what you think about it?”

Solutions

I have given much thought to ways we can stem the tide of what I see coming upon this nation. Some of the most important are: encouraging the use of alternative currencies, ie real money, educating as many people as we possibly can, (especially concerning natural rights verses .gov granted rights), becomig self-sufficient, and the last I will mention today is to promote Oathkeepers. When you come down to it, the goons cannot do too much unless they have the cooperation from enough of the sheeple to do their bidding. The way they get that cooperation is to deceive us, to get us to believe the outright lies they tell us. They rewrite history and present it as truth. They infiltrate our groups and cause infighting. They use good moral and even Godly people for their ungodly purposes. May God have mercy on us and grant us to see true truth.
If the ptb do not have “boots on the ground” they will be severely limited. So much of what we need to know is common sense, but common sense is now uncommon! Oathkeepers lays it out so well. And if you think that the things oathkeepers lays out could not possible happen, I beg you to think again. It has happened in the past, and history is often repeated, so we do face these issues that oathkeepers raises.
We think that we are so advanced due to the technological wonders of our day, we think we are all that and a bag of chips, but human nature has been and will be unchanged. We were born into sin and only through the grace of God can we free ourselves of the bonds we were born into. The founders, knowing this, puts checks and balances into the government so as to keep human nature from taking over. Well, it took some time, but we are no longer the land of the free. But most of us still think of ourselves as free...we don't even know just how enslaved we are! Now how's that for the perfect strategy? Get a people to cooperate and do your bidding all the while thinking they are free and working for themselves!
Ayn Rand had some things right when she wrote Atlas Shrugged. I do not care for her morals; she was an atheist and it shows, but the conclusions she draws as to the course we are on were correct. She saw what was coming concerning collectivism and how the ptb would make us into a socialistic society. She understood that capitalism works. I differ from her in that I feel it works based on the principle of “you shall reap what you sow,” and I do not agree with her when she views altruism as a very evil thing. But we do agree about the individual's right to self determination. The difference between us is that I view self determination as granted by God, and individual rights as granted by God. I also feel it is not immoral to lend a helping hand to those in need, but it must be an individual's choice to help, and not forced, either by the threat of violence or through manipulation; the right to own property is the foundation of capitalism. And foundational to all biblical law is the right to own property and self determination. The government the founders wanted was created to secure these individual rights. And that is the limited government to which I would like to return.

simple pleasures

A friend at work recently told me she didn't care how hard times got, she wasn't going to give up her hobbies. “What is the use of working if I never enjoy myself?” she said. I was a little taken aback, seeing as times are hard and so many are out of work and some are beginning to get desperate. But on inquiring what her hobbies were I found they were fishing, and camping etc. and I thought she had chosen some good “hobbies.” But it got me to thinking...what do I really look forward to? What do I really enjoy? Am I so busy prepping that I am losing out on the joys that I could be experiencing today?
The older I get the more I recognize that it isn't the “fancy stuff” that really means something, it isn't that big house, or the new car, or the expensive night out on the town. It is found in the jars of home dried and canned foods lining the pantry, the smell of fresh air as I walk around the country side, the phone call to a best friend back home, and the pride that swells up in my heart when I see one of my kids reach out a helping hand to someone in need.
Simple pleasures. Not contrived by some media hype, some “you need to keep up with the times, so buy this, it's the newest thing” baloney.
There is a timeless, priceless treasure in seeing your baby smile for the first time, or having your grown son search high and low for the perfect song for your mother-son dance at his wedding. I have been so blessed. Not that I haven't had to live through hard times, times when I wish I could just stop the world and get off, times of unbelievable physical pain and gut-wrenching emotional suffering. But by the grace of God, I made it through those times to once again enjoy life's blessings.
Sometimes, I just have to stop and breathe and say for right now, today, I have a warm home to live in, plenty of food to eat, clean water to drink and bathe in, and my family is healthy. I have people who love me, people that I love and that is so very much more than many, many people have. And I have to take a break from prepping, and trying to figure out which scenario could be the one we will need to be ready for and worrying about being ready for every possible contingency. Sometimes I have to choose to be in the present moment, this moment, one where plenty still reigns for most of us and there is peaceable travel and order in society.
I know it won't last long, because on every side I feel the oppression closing in. I know we are not far from the tipping point, a time of upheaval the likes of which few of us have ever seen or can image.
But for today, right now, I will choose to be grateful for simple pleasures. I will seek the face of God and enjoy my family. I will make some beautiful memories. I will count my blessings and I will rest.
May God grant you a grateful heart and a peaceful spirit today,

Lost liberty and ungratefulness

Warning: Post related to writer's spiritual interpretation based on Christianity. If you are adverse to Christianity, you may want to skip the read today, thanks.

Have you ever wondered why we lost our freedoms? Where this great experiment called America went wrong? It is not surprising that we are no longer a free and sovereign people, you know. There are two ways of looking at the issue, and today I want to explore the spiritual one.

“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”

When a group of people get blessed, they tend to become lazy and selfish. It goes back 1000's of years. It was even predicted by God Himself when He warned His people of the danger of becoming ungrateful. Being ungrateful leads to prideful thoughts and prideful thoughts lead to thinking you are self-made and the blessings you have are directly related to your own doing. Your own strength, your own mental acuity, and/or your own talent was what got you blessed and if your think this way, it follows that your blessing(s) is not linked to the Almighty, your relationship to Him and His mercy.

Deuteronomy 8:13,14,17,19 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied.. Then thine heart be lifted up and thou forget the Lord thy God which brought three forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;...And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth....and it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

On the one hand, we can see many areas that we lost our way in, such as allowing certain amendments to the Constitution. But on the other hand, we also lost our way on our spiritual path. Of the first people to sail across the ocean seeking freedom, many had come out of spiritual bondage, being told how they must worship. (Yes, I know the arguments concerning the native Americans and such, but this post does not deal with the injustice they had to bear.) Here in the New World, they were able to pursue God as they saw fit in their our conscience and not as one church or the “State” dictated. Do you think they were grateful?

As the new states were formed, you can see our heritage of honoring God in each state's constitution. Even our federal Constitution relies on the Jewish and Christian traditions of truth and morality and gave honor to God. Prayer was common and still to this day, many governing bodies open with it, albeit to the chagrin on the atheists.

Those that fought the battle for freedom from England called upon God to help them. It took great courage and a granite resolve that they were doing the moral and right thing before God and all of mankind to rebel, and to give their lives in the fight against the tyranny that held them in bondage. And they made certain that they addressed the issues according to the moral and proper procedure, thus keeping a clear conscience before God and man. It was only when King George would not acknowledge their petitions, and the injustice they suffered became intolerable that they understood there was no peaceful options left and began the rebellion. (And in order to again fight this battle today, we will need to understand that we are morally called upon to fight tyranny; that it is our duty before God. But will we come to understand this when most preachers have been indoctrinated into believing that rebellion against the state is rebellion against God? When so many scholars of the Word of God cannot rightly divide it?

Over the years, we as a people were blessed and we grew fat and selfish, not to be confused with self-sufficient, but full of ourselves and we were not vigilant to give thanks to God and diligent to teach our children about Him and the true reasons this nation came to be. We grew lazy and forgot that we needed the Lord and His blessing upon our work, upon our sovereign states. We lost our grateful attitudes and our diligence. We stopped seeking Him and stopped trying to please Him in all our ways.

We, the common people, allowed ourselves to be brainwashed into thinking the “experts” had the answers and we did not have the capacity to understand the way of the world, to teach our own children, to run for office, or even to understand the issues we face. We allowed our history to be re-written and we allowed our children to be taught by others, by those with an agenda. We allowed our children to be indoctrinated into this mentality of thinking that only a few gifted people are capable of understanding the Constitution and the way the world works. Even Naomi Wolf, who is well-educated and now is the author of The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, says she felt separated from the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. To her credit she acknowledges that she had to ask a lawyer friend to explain due process to her. She relates that we are told not to worry about liberty, that we have a special class of people who will take care of that for us. (Please view Naomi relate this and other things you may need to hear at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjALf12PAWc) And so in our ungrateful, selfish and lazy state, we have let them – the self-proclaimed experts, take care of our liberties. And we are now enslaved.

Those who were power hungry devised ways to get more power for themselves and they were diligent and they were successful. Our representative republic was slowly dissolved before our very eyes without our notice, for we did not understand what we were losing. It took time, many years in fact, but now we are very close to the end of even the illusion that we are free as the ptb are running faster than ever before to ensure their absolute control over we the people. How long will it be before we are not able to post thoughts such as these? How long will it be before you will not have the right to choose what you put into your body? (Even now there are mandates being debated to force you to take the H1N1 vaccination.)

I propose the first step into the slow slide of liberty lost began with our becoming lax in our giving of thanks to the Lord, of not being diligent to remember His ways, His works, and His word, to hide them first in our own hearts and then to be diligent to speak of them to our children “when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of they house and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) That scripture gives us the clear picture that we must be constantly reminded of God, His blessings and His ways, that we must be determined to walk in them, and not be slack at any point in our day.

The second step was forgetting the price that was paid for our freedoms and being thankful for the men and women who sacrificed their lives and fortunes, who pledged their sacred honor to the cause of liberty. As it is often said, if we do not learn from history we are bound to repeat it. We have a great need to learn from our own history, and we cannot depend on others to teach it to our children when we are not aware of exactly what is taught when we are not present. It is a short list of who God looks to where children are concerned and it is not a village! Parents are the ones who answer to God for their children.

So where do we start today? We start by being grateful for the few liberties we we still have available to us and if we are truly grateful, we will use these liberties to the fullest. We will use the free press - the internet, and our right to freely assemble. We will use any platform God gives us. We will use everything we have to our advantage to restore our liberties and when we have exhausted those, men and women of honor will again rise up and will do what must be done.

How dare you!

How dare you? How dare you act as self-appointed slave masters over me...over my children! How dare you steal from me, the little that I have, and all the while go on your way, nodding and smiling, while you vote yourself special privileges. You say men of integrity, true men, men who say what they mean and mean what they say, are a threat to our “way of life.” No, they are not a threat to “our way of life,” they are a threat to you and the power you have found yourself to possess. So you take good men's words and twist them, or more effective yet, you totally ignore them and pretend they and their high moral standards and ideals of liberty are not plausible or are simply, “non-issues.”
So here you are, living the high life, ignorant of, or opposed to, the God-given rights secured to us..WE THE PEOPLE.
You take every precaution to keep your position and power. You carefully choose your words at all times, crafting what you say and how you will say it, always seeking to appease the sheeple. You purposely veil your real agenda, and walk in deceit without repercussion. If forced, you blantenly lie; this has also been without consequence.
Furthermore, you have allowed unconscionable laws to be enacted out of loyalty to special interests groups or your hidden agenda, laws that are used to incarcerate honest, well-intentioned people, people who exercise common sense and good judgment. And you do not have an ounce of conscience left to care.
You sanction laws that teach the young of our society by example and by experience that enslavement is the natural way of life by compelling them to attend the ungodly public institutions of indoctrination called the public schools; and all the while you give your nod of approval as you join in the mantra of “It's all for their good.” Socialism is presented as the answer to all our problem in these institutions, and no one is the wiser because we have been deliberately dumbed down over decades.
You seek to regulate and control everyone you possibly can, ensuring no one can craft a career without paying ridiculous fees for attaining the required “higher education” and then following the “rules” as dictated by you and the State, i.e. requiring people to pass tests and to apply for the privileges of licensure in order to “practice.” And of course the State also reaps fees intermittently for these licenses, thus padding the coffers.
You seek to eliminate my right to defend myself, my family and my property by passing unconstitutional laws that restrict my right to bear arms, thus putting my life and the lives of my loved ones in jeopardy. How dare you!
I have given a portion of my life, of my numbered days, in exchange for a fiat dollar that you allow to be devalued at the whim of few elite bankers so that you have the funds to fight wars and the funds to distribute as you see fit, so that you can keep your position and power.
I am tired of being your slave, and I am not alone. I want you out of my life! I do not need your help or protection and I do not want it. I want LIBERTY.
You have sold your soul and you are about to reap the consequences. WE THE PEOPLE are no longer being deceived by your tactics and we are moving to end your reign of tyranny.

A Small Victory

My last post expressed my concern for the fed gov. pushing the "Hyped Up" Swine Flu vaccine on our children and administering it in our Schools.
I for one, raised local Holy Hell over this and convinced others to do the same!
I spoke with the school administrator and school board chairman as well as many parents in our area.
Without my previous knowledge my 12th grade daughter asked for a private meeting with her principal and with tears in her eye's said to him, "You are responsible for the students in this school....That's your job....Please don't let my friends be hurt...don't allow this vaccine in our school"!
She told me he turned his chair to face away from her and said "You are a very brave young lady and I'll express what you've said to the school board"....
It was announced Friday that our local school district has told the County Heath Dept. they will not allow them to use the school building to vaccinate anyone.
They have since made arrangements to use the Town Hall (for the uninformed/clueless).
I can't say for sure if either I or my daughter made the major difference in that decision but I will say this, "Don't ever think your voice doesn't matter...it does"!
One thing I can say for sure is " I'm one proud Dad "!

Good to see

I went to a political forum the other night and I was so encouraged to see about 150 people show up to hear and ask questions of the candidates for a vote one year away.
The questions were good, and some answers were excellent.

"Dear Candidate, when is it morally acceptable to take my money, my tax dollar, and give it to someone else?" "That's easy, never!" DING DING DING - RIGHT ANSWER!!!!!

One candidate said he would end the fed, one said he would say no even to his own party on principle and one was blah blah blah. Hey, two possible "get-its" out of three made my day!

Of course, I was disappointed that none felt we should be bringing our troops home and get out of other nations' affairs, but I think they will listen and I did have conversation with the two potential liberty lovers after the event.

Time will tell, but I am thinking with the numbers of the Repugnant Party down, it could prove to our advantage to get involved on a state level.. and shouldn't that be where the power rests really?

It was awesome to see and hear people come out and basically say, "We want our freedoms back!" Yuppers, look out you power hungry goons, the natives are definitely restless...

A way to kill your kid for free?

Yes Citizens...you heard me right!
The federal government will now "Free of charge" stick a lethal needle into your child's arm and thus save you the expense of any further nurturing of any kind! (They call it a vaccination against the flu.)
Just imagine the money you'll save on stuff like food and clothes. Not to mention collage tuition and car insurance!
Just think of the countless hours you'll save not having to hug them and say "I love You"!
Yes folks the fed gov (as always) has your best interests in mind...So tell the little tot's to roll their sleevees and take their medicine!
NOW COMING TO A SCHOOL NEAR YOU!!!
Or you can do as I did when receiving a permission/ denial form from my Daughter's school.
Under "Other" in the refusal form I wrote..."Severe reaction to New World Order Genocide"!
If you truly love your children you will research the unneeded crap they have in this poison.
Do the research and you wont just say "No" you'll say "HELL NO"!!!

Socialist agenda 101

I have a couple kids in college and it is interesting to pick up their text and peruse it. They say they present both side of the story, but they really are biased. They present as truth their very leftist view point. In my kid's sociology class the text says that the goal of the text book is to connect the kids with the political issues in the world and to explain what politics are about. I thought a sociology class was to teach the kids about how to study society. Silly me.

It starts with laying the ground work by stressing the fact that personal troubles as really "social issues" that effect other people also. Basically implying that you are not responsible for yourself, you can blame society for your troubles, especially because many people have trouble through no fault of their own. It goes on to say that politics is the process a society uses to define social problems and politics is also the process that enacts specific policies as solutions. By stating these things it assumes that the Nanny state is good and everyone acknowledges that, and that is just the way it is, and that it has always been that way. NOT!

I wish I was taking this class. I would give this prof a run for his money on these assumptions. First by confronting the fact that they manipulating people by not even acknowledging things exist that they don't want the kids to think about.

The book also defines the loss of choices as a bad thing, for you know the poor don't have the same choices as the rich...really? What about the choices I loose when the .gov steals my money through excessive taxation to give it to those I would never chose to give it to? I pay my taxes or I go to jail. Some choice! But I forget, the socialists don't recognize every one's individual rights as being a good thing, let alone the self-evident truths as outline by the Constitution. They don't even bring up the Constitution or the principles that our government was founded on. And that is so easy to do since our history teachers and texts all across the country have been successful in removing that lesson from the history books. And that is just one more reason to home school your kids.

And the book extols collectivism. If they really wanted to be fair and impartial they would discuss Ayn Rand and credit her for her insight into "collectivism" and discuss the outcome if you follow it through as she did in her book Atlas Shrugged.

I guess it has just been brought to my attention so much lately what a racket our whole education system is. You want to learn how to do something, and then go out into the world and do it. But to get that degree you also have to be indoctrinated into the socialist agenda by taking all these stupid classes that really do not have anything to do with your ability to work in your field. But seeing as many companies won't even consider you for the job if you don't have a degree, you have no choice but to take the stupid classes.

And then they kill two birds with one stone; they get you in piles of debt to get a degree, thus making sure you are a full-fledged slave to the system as soon as possible.

Well, I do definitely agree with the writer of the text about one thing. If enough of us join together, we can change our society. And politics is important, if you mean the form of government that we have. I say let's get back to basics. Let's get back to the Constitution, freedom, and a government that protects my inalienable rights, not one that has made us all into slaves.

Freedom, Frogs and Goons and I feel the preach coming on...

My friend Mayberry has a good rant on his blog http://mayberry-keepitsimplestupid.blogspot.com/ It is from yesterday, titled "Equal Opportunity Offender" and a good read, altho he does like to use "colorful" language. I for one appreciate his switch to a few well placed # and * though! I can understand the sentiment behind the word choices...pure frustration and burning anger. Many of us are there also.

I think it would be a good thing for many of our troops and law enforcement officers to be introduced to Oathkeepers as well. See http://oathkeepers.org/oath/ and check out the 10 orders they will not obey. Then maybe you could print some out and hand out to those you know in those occupations. You might get some good, stimulating conversations going.

We must get this through our heads: there are more of us than there are of them. We have just needed to have the sheeple wake up ... and now they are. Our numbers are increasing every day as more sheeple wake up. And I think the NWOgoons are scared because they are waking up and the goons know that is not good for them. I say PRAISE GOD!

So as I see it, we are in a precarius state. The plan to disarm us, to bring down the US of A, to implement a new currency, i.e. Euro like, has had to be changed. They don't dare waste any precious time. They have had to move up their timeline so that they can still accomplish their goal of total dominance. Because with every day that passes, more people are standing up and looking around and asking where their freedoms went. More people are buying guns and ammo. More people are stock piling food. More people are forming supportive groups. More people are realizing that they were duped by obamanation.

But with their speeding up of the timeline, it becomes even more apparent what they are doing. The water is heating up a little too fast and even more frogs are jumping out of the water. So the race is on. Who will win, the goons or us?

I know that I don't have much personally in common with some who seek freedom, but if you aint a goon, and you are against the goons, then you are on my side and I am on yours.

We have some good discussions going on here in our old Ron Paul group about whether we should all join the GOP as their numbers are down significantly and we could really make some changes. Sounds good to me; I say fight on every front. There are others who say it won't matter if the goons are controlling the voting machines; that surely makes sense. So if that seems the top priority to you, fight on that front. Meself thinks one of the most important fights is for real money, hard silver and gold that don't loose value so you are rewarded for being frugal and saving. Real property exchanges that can't be taxed into oblivion. And my other beef is the property tax. If you can't own property free and clear, you are not free, period, end of story.

There are other ways to fight and some are not pretty, fight still. Some ways to fight use deception, fight on. Some who fight are in the front lines and everyone knows their name, others are hidden behind enemy lines causing the enemies' plans to go haywire. But all are fighting.

Just know what it is you are fighting for...freedom. Freedom is self evident. It is your God-given right, not the .gov's proclamation.

This present government does not have my consent any longer.

ie our Constitution states: governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed and it states: whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

Well I aint happy, are you?

I don't feel too safe either, do you?

Guess it's time for a new government.

So what front are you going to fight on? There are many to choose from, but the important thing is that you know who is with you and that you fight.

And that is what the goons are most afraid of ~ that we realize this is war, and we fight.

H1N1oink oink

So dd was told their her malady was the swine flu because she tested positive for type A flu and so can assume it is the H1N1 virus because the regular flu has not hit yet. Same thing I was told when I had my son (and me too) in to the doc this summer. "Any flu this time of year is the swine flu." It costs well over $200 to test for the swine flu and most doctor's offices are not sending the tests in. So you don't have specific proof you had it, so I am sure the PTB will still push for you to take the vaccine. How convenient. Also, the numbers can be manipulated as seen fit. Are they using all Type A positives to add to the swine numbers, or are they keeping them out? Also, there was not a fever a the beginning with this bout of flu, which is uncommon. And when a fever did show up, it was low. My dh had been sick with the same crap not too long before dd. He kept working etc. as he always does when sick, and I am sure this is also what is going through the staff of my local hospital. If you have the flu or flu like symptoms, you must be off for at least 7 days, more if symptoms have not subsided. Many people are not going to set themselves up to be off work for that long as they cannot afford it, so they don't report symptoms or go to doc. Most people are not going to their doctor's offices to get swabbed and most are not being conscientious about their spewing germs about. So this stuff is really going around right now here in our state. Side note: got an email saying someone in my area had been confimed as having swine, so we should clean our keyboards and phones each day with alchohol. --- That is not going to stop a air-born infection.
Dear daughter also did not get that bad of a cough, but she was taking a homeopathic remedy and vit D3. She is also doing some other health promoting things. Still she felt like she had been hit by a truck for a couple days and just yucky sick with sore throat, runny then stuffy nose etc.
We will see what happens when they offer her the shot or should I say "snort" at work. Yup, the first batches of flu poisen comes in the form of an inhalant. If you are young and relatively healthy, you must take the snort, not the shot. I wonder what data they are gathering there?
So now I figure that most of my immediate family have had the dreaded flu and have some immunity to it for which I am grateful.
If you don't have any vit D3 on hand, reaserch its effects on the influenza virus and then go stock up so you have it if needed.

Ramblings from Northwoods

I'll start this post all "warm and fuzzy" and then get down to cold cruel reality.

It's been a busy last few months with tending the garden then harvesting and canning.

Last night as I sat in my recliner feeling the warmth of the soapstone stove and watching the flames dance through the glass door (knowing we have plenty of wood for the winter) I felt I and my family had it pretty darn good.

The cupboards are full of produce grown from our own garden by our own labors. There is a full years worth of long term storage rice and beans secured. There is venison both canned and in the freezer with hopefully more to come. I mentally inventoried our backups to our backups to draw water from our well. Via our solar electric system, the lights are on and the wife sits happily feeding her addiction to the damn television.

All would seem well. We are as independent as we can possibly be.... So why then do I not feel content... and in fact, have a feeling of vulnerability?

It is because all that I have done in my 55 years toward Independence is being trashed along with the US Constitution and our Bill of Rights! Sheeple and Ostriches with there head's in the sand have allowed this to happen! You mention to them the laws that have either already been passed or are in legislation that take away their right's to have a garden, to have a garage sale, to baby sit a neighbor's child, to have federal inspectors enter your property without warrant to assess the mud puddles in your back yard......the list goes on and on. They stand there fat, dumb and happy like a deer in the headlights and say "Nah...that couldn't (didn't) happen in the USA"!.... No?... Well guess what happened while you were sleeping dumb ass!

For those who still think a "New world order" agenda is just some conspiracy theory I suggest you goggle the term and spend a few days reading. Don't let reality sink in as you and your family are being hauled off to a FEMA camp then separated by color code and life worthiness.

Once you accept the truth then connecting the dots becomes real easy!

Now I've got a deer stand to get to.

Water usage

So lately we have been very cognisant of the amount of water we use every day. We are renting a house that has a 2000 gal tank for all, and I mean all, our waste water etc. When it's full, it cost $70 to have it pumped out. When the house was built the owner had the grey water pumped out to the ditch, but when the inspector came the dear old lady who lived here tipped them off and it was all redone and checked to make sure allllll the water goes to the tank. So while I was looking forward to having a well and septic to where I did not have to think about paying that water and sewer bill, I am now feeling the pinch. Ouch!
We are taking very fast showers. And turning off the water while brushing teeth. I am glad the washer has a water saver feature...now if we can only get it to work! The water we collect in the dehumidifier is going to water the plants. I always did wait until the dishwasher was full to run it, so not much change there.
I am glad we found out that these things exist. I had never heard of such a thing before. I only knew of city water and sewer or septic tanks etc. These holding tanks are not cool. What if they can't get to you to empty? Then what.... not a pretty thought.
I sure hope we find our new place soon and don't have to have this thing pumped out too many times...Did I mention we were only here about 10 days before the alarm went off and we had to have it pumped?

moving

I am in the process of moving and it has not been easy. I was unaware of just how much stuff I had gathered. Holy cow! And we are renting until we find our new place so we are looking at moving this again. Holy steer! I promised my dh I would go through and donate/sell the non essentials. Kept toys for the grandkids, but the kids didn't have any for me yet, so why did I keep the toys etc. Guess I am a pack rat by nature and now a prepper and holy bull! I have tooooo much cow droppings.
And then there is the fun of getting phone service, etc. Cell reception is poor there or I would not even bother, and no cable so no high speed Internet. The property is on the line between phone servers and we have spent hours on the phone getting them to set us up for service. I wonder if it would be easier to have satellite phone?
My dh can't take off work this week because they decided he had to attend some training for a new system. so yours truly is about to drop. But by the grace of God I am just putting one foot in front of the other, (arms full of chit) and trusting that some how we will get this place emptied and somewhat cleaned before the buyer's walk thru.
I sure can see the logic in not planning to retreat at the last minute.... There is enough stress with moving when you are not face teotwawki.

So little time when you're always busy

Sometimes it seems that life is so complicated and goes so fast there is not even enough time to breath. I am not able to sleep as once I was woken up, I cannot get back to sleep with all that is going on.
I have been wanting to post about being prepared to treat burns. I was visiting relatives and did not take the usual things with me because my dh was in a hurry to leave and we were not supposed to be gone very long so I didn't take the time I needed to gather everything. Dh says I take everything but the kitchen sink when we leave town... Now I see that I need a second travel pack of essential items ready to go. (I just got a new car and in mix of no time and switch out the cars my car pack went AWOL.) Anyway, I dropped my curling iron on my cheek and it was not pleasant. No burn cream, no Unkers, no coconut oil, no nothing. So off I go to the health food store looking for some burn salve and they have nothing! Meanwhile I am spraying iwater on it every 30 seconds or so, but the iwater is about 30 days old and not as effective as it should be, so I am hurting. The sales people suggest vit E oil... I know from experience that does not help with the pain of a new burn, so I grab some lavender essential oil, open and apply before I even pay for it, go pay for it and then go and get coconut oil, and calendula cream that is homeopathic...they have no calendula essential oil. The lavendar oil gets into my eye and that is not pleasant, but the burning sensation is beginning to subside. PTL! I later apply more lavender, then coconut, then the homeopathic and repeat every so often as the pain began to return. When the pain stopped returing, I started putting raw honey on it at night. I am happy to say the blister went down with the first application of the lavender oil and the top layer of skin peeled off a couple days later and you cannot even tell I had gotten a bad burn. I had a friend who was burned a few weeks before and only applied calendula oil and ended up with darkened skin from the episode. I usually use an herbal burn salve that has hemp and lavender and a few other things or Unkers, the original Unkers. I had forgotten how bad and how unrelenting the pain of a burn was.
If anyone would like to share what has worked for them where burns are concerned I would be happy to add that to my arsenal also.
Of course the best treatment is prevention, be more careful and less rushed says I to myself.

Life is an adventure

Hello all,
Been awhile since I posted and thought I had better let y'all know I am still alive...and have less than two weeks to find a place to live or it's under the bridge for me, dh and kids....not really, I have a friend who has offered us a place, she has some empty rooms (via empty nest), but time is growing short. We are to close on our house (thank you Lord we sold it) very soon and have yet to find a new place to purchase or a place to rent. Not too many want to rent to you month to month. We do not want to sign a lease of course. The advantage of renting is that we will be able to purchase a foreclosure, the disadvantage is moving twice. But first we have to find a rental, and soon! I called about places today, but found most people are taking the nice day off, or so it seems.
We also took a couple days to go out of state to visit relatives recently, and dh got food poisoning.... I keep telling him to wash his hands before eating, but does he listen? Then I kept telling him he should take the keifer whey, but did he listen? When he got so weak he could hardly do anything I did take him to the doctor's office. They proclaimed he needed IV fluids as I had surmised and they said they would just keep filling him up until he could urinate....after the second liter and still no urge, they sent us home (as they all wanted to go home, we were the only ones there for at least an hour) with the understanding that we could call if needed or come in for more IV fluid in the am along with stool samples. The next day he agreed to go to my naturapathic friend who tested him on the biofeedback type apparatus and declared he had ecoli and recommended a homeopathic drop and some food enzymes which he took, along with some kefier whey mixed into yogurt and started feeling better. But it has taken some time. And he hasn't done the kefier whey consistently... And he needs to. It is amazing stuff. Studies say it kills salmonella etc.
I really like to have Kiefer whey, colloidal silver, oregano oil on hand. I really think if he would have taken the Keifer whey right away with the first symptoms, he could have avoided a lot of trouble, but he didn't like the taste. Take a bit on a spoon, stick it down the back of your tongue, dump it and swallow says I. Oh no, no thanks says he. Ok, says I, suffer. And he did. I hope next time he listens.

freedom and responsibility

I work in health care and I also work in alternative health care.

I do not think the current debate about health care is going to get us anywhere because we are debating the wrong thing(s). It is the basic assumption of most that health care is a basic human right, something we all deserve to have and if I can't pay for mine, then you and all the other yous out there should pay for it. ????

Our Constitution states that we are given certain rights by God: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Food, shelter and health care are not listed. The federal government was not and is not to be in the business of supplying food, shelter, health care, education, or any other service or commodity. But we have not been diligent, and we have lost our Republic; we have slipped into a democracy. And as a democracy, the people found that they could vote themselves favors. Steal from the rich (and not so rich) and give to the poor and the illegal immigrant. Add to that mix men who knew how to manipulate coming in as wolves in sheep's clothing and our public servants selling "we the people" down the river by allowing all of our silver and gold to be exchanged for useless federal reserve notes, in direct opposition to the dictate of our Constitution. As a result, we are now about to pay the piper and it isn't going to be pretty. But I digress.

Health care costs rose to exorbitant rates because government started paying for people to get health care and if you ain't the one paying, you don't care how much something costs. It didn't take long for the providers to get greedy and find ways to abuse the system. In response to the abuse, the government came up with a set of numerical codes that were used to track people, diagnoses, and treatments to make it harder to abuse the system. Insurance companies quickly followed suit in order to protect themselves by using the exact same codes and many of the same rules as the government. But all of this paper work and tracking and bureaucratic oversight increased the cost of delivering health care by a huge margin. I remember when my GP started billing me on the basis of the diagnosis for my visit instead of how long he spent with me. Huge increase in cost. And when I inquired about the change, I was told to talk to the wind, that is the new way. I was told that for every doctor in practice, 4 more people had to work for him just to do the danged paperwork. When I was young I had an older doctor who had just one RN working with him. She made the appointments, set up the tests, gave the shots, and called you with the results. Do you know of any doctor out there today that can get by with only one employee?

Same thing for hospitals; they must employ people whose job it is to make sure everyone is assigned the correct code(s) so that the hospital gets paid as much as possible. If the code for the diagnosis does not match the treatment, you are not going to get paid. Beyond all the employees it takes to do that, experts and even consultants are hired to help the docs and hospitals to understand what is required for the paper work to be submitted properly so they can get paid. But that is not all, the powers that be can change the rules at any time concerning which code you need to use to get paid. They have a web site posted with a gazillion rules and regs that you are supposed to keep up with and let me tell you it is nigh unto impossible...

So, in my estimation, that is the real reason health care costs so dang much. If all the docs and hospitals could get rid of the their medical coders, charge leaders, and bureaucrats, the cost of health care could plummet. But that would mean you would have to go back to being responsible for paying for your heath care yourself. Just like you pay for any other service you deem you need. Novel idea isn't it.

As a prepper, start thinking about becoming responsible for your health yourself. Educate yourself so that you know when you really need to go to the doctor and when you don't. They are not going to give you an antibiotic if you have only been sneezing for 3 days. Pretend you are paying every penny for that office visit..do you even know how much a visit costs? Many people do not, they just know their co-pay etc.

Instead of just sitting there glued to a Crackberry, you will be taking concrete, meaningful action. While others spin in circles like beheaded poultry, you'll be busy helping to get things back to normal.
Skills and KnowledgeUnlike the folks that absorbed in the mindless American Idol television culture, you've spent your available time in taking hands-on training, and reading up on practical and tactical skills. You've also assembled a home library of useful references.
NetworkingMost of you have teamed up with like-minded relatives, friends, church congregants, and neighbors. Meanwhile, your average suburbanite doesn't even know the names of all of the neighbors on his block, much less know their skill sets.
ToolsYou've bought the best tools you could afford, for all foreseeable eventualities. Whether it is your Hi-Lift jack or your Glock, you've done your homework and acquired the most appropriate and durable gear. Meanwhile, your neighbors have frittered away their funds on jet-skis, Beanie Babies, Hummel figurines, and big screen plasma HDTVs.
Planning You've developed both "stay put" and "Get Out of Dodge" plans, plus a few alternates. You keep your bugout bag and even your passport handy.
LogisticsUnlike the sheeple--who aren't prepared for even a three day power failure--you have your beans, bullets, and Band-Aids stocked away, in depth. While your sheeple neighbors are flocking to the grocery store, where they will most likely find only empty shelves, you'll be sitting pretty. And while they are pondering their two gallon gas can for their lawn mower--their only stored fuel--you have laid in enough to not only be ready for a crisis, but you cane even pick and choose your time to re-stock, when their are dips in fuel prices.
LocaleA minority of highly motivated SurvivalBlog readers have taken my advice and relocated to safer regions. I hope that more of you do the same!
CommunicationsYou already have your commo and band scanning gear up and running. While most folks will be completely ignorant when the power grids and phone systems go down, you'll be coordinating with your Group, and keeping track of where the malo hombres are moving, and where they might be heading next.
Capacity for CharityThere is room in the hearts of most SurvivalBlog readers to dispense copious charity. We consider it our duty. And more than just the willingness to dispense charity, most of us just as importantly also have the capacity--namely, the requisite materiel. If you can't spare it, then you can't share it. As I often tell journalists in phone interviews: I don't look at my food storage as a three year supply for one family. Rather, it is a one year supply for three families.
The Bottom LineTo wax a bit metapohrical, SurvivalBlog readers are what the actuarial accountants would call "low rate qualifiers"--meaning that because we have minimized our risks and maximized our potential life spans we'd qualify for the lowest possible insurance rates. There are no absolute guarantees, but your chance of achieving room temperature at an early age is far, far below that of the average man. Prepping

I am glad to see so many people waking up and smelling the coffee. Eyes are finally being opened by jobs being lost and benefits being terminated. By the ptb pushing legislation through without a thought about reading it or having to answer those they supposedly represent. By our congress critters think they are the untouchables and can walk all over us, the common people.

The great nation that we once were is going..going...almost gone. Our dollar is hardly worth the paper it is printed on, and we are now a debtor nation. And it does not look like we will be able to dig ourselves out of the mounds of debt any time soon. As people wake up and see this fact, they realize that they alone are going to have to support and be responsible for themselves because the state is not going to be in the business of being the sugar daddy it has been; it is no longer reliable, and really does not care about them. Actually it never did, but that is another post.

So the newly awakened are starting to store up food and think about how to take care of themselves in the case of storms, disasters and loss of jobs. It is sad that this is a new way of thinking because it was not that long ago that every American took pride in living in the land of unlimited opportunities. In America, hard work pays off! Yes, work hard and be diligent and you will reap a reward! You were rewarded for saving your money. But those days are gone. Your savings are being robbed slowly now, but soon the inflation will start with a vengence and you will be left with nothing for your hard work, diligence and foresight. And if you are thinking that you will be fine because you have quite a tidy sum in savings, please think again. If a bank holiday is declared you will not be able to retrieve your money! If your bank fails, you may not have ready access either. And btw, the FDIC is about broke too from bailing out so many failed banks.

My advice is to buy any tangibles now that you have been thinking about. The prices on some things have been falling and may continue for a bit, but it will not be long before the necessities will cost much more than they do now. And I don't count on employer's matching the inflation rate so that their employees can make a go of it in these hard times.

Are you ready? Can your survive a job loss? A hurricane? A flood? Being quarentined due to the flu?

Don't delay. We may not have too long before our paper dollars will be worth more providing fuel for heat than food for the belly.

My goal

I found out how actors really felt when you hear them say, “but what's my motivation” when I was a part of a night of entertainment put on by a wing and a prayer. Just a few of us from work putting in some evenings with a director who was hired to help us do a benefit and raise some money. He kept telling me to act a certain way and I tried to do as he requested, but he did not take the time to tell me why my character was to act as he was directing and being such a bit part, etc., I did not venture forth and inquire. And as a result, I acted as he directed me a time or two, but I could not continue to do as he asked; his direction did not “connect” with how I saw my role in skit and I could not continue to do what made me feel uncomfortable, or unnatural. My point is, I couldn't just be told what to do, even by someone I respected, I could not permanently change my acting (behavior) just on his direction alone; it had to come from inside me, from my own well of motivation. I needed to understand the reason for what he was telling me to do and make it my own. Once the motivation was my own, I could consistently perform.

Many of us in the prepper movement have had some aha moments. The point in time where we saw things differently. And our behavior changed. We acquired a new motivation. I firmly believe that in order to permanently change behavior, you must change on the inside first, i.e. in your thinking. I have pondered over things in my life, not quite understanding something, but not knowing how to get the answer I desired. Sometimes it was because the answer was obvious to most people, so they did not talk about it, but alas, I am not most people. Regrettably the simplest thing is just not simple for me at times. Other times I realized that I, more often than not, tend to ponder things on a much deeper level than most. I need to know the whys behind the hows. I do not do well with people who just do a job because that is how they were taught to do it, akin to a monkey doing things by rote, and never think about what they are doing or why they are doing it. A “just get it done, off my desk, off my check list and let me move on” mentality. When asked why they do a task, they do not have a response, and often do not think one is necessary. It is the way we have always done it, or it was the way I was told to do it suffices for them.

Dear reader, not only do I want this site to be one that helps people move into becoming prepared, I also want to make you think. What is motivating you?

And now let me ask you and important question. Who owns you? Seriously, who owns you? “I am no one's property!” you may answer in disgust. But is that really true?

A second question. Are you free? We are taught that we are, but are we? And what is freedom or liberty? One answer that I like is the ability and/or availability to determine how to spend my time and the ability to make my own choices. Of course, my liberty ends where yours begins.

Let me tell you about an aha moment I had while doing a history lesson with my kids that was about China. I remember thinking about the poor Chinese people, who we do not consider to be free, having to rent their land from the government and all of a sudden I thought about my property taxes. Hmm. I can buy any land that I can afford and convince the “owner” to sell to me, but I cannot get out of paying property taxes. In fact, right now, many places are being sold at sheriff sales across the country because of the failure to pay the property taxes. So who really owns my land? Am I not also renting it from the government? But I get services that I can't live without you say. Police and firemen to come to my rescue, paved and snow-plowed streets, etc. But what if I would rather own my own land free and clear in lieu of the “services.” Can I opt out. Nope. Nada. Tisn't allowed. I have no choice in the matter.

And one more question for you today. Who is responsible for you? I am assuming you are an adult with full mental capacity. I assume you will say that you are responsible for yourself. But is that how you live? Or do you depend on the government to feed, or clothe, or protect, or deliver, or defend you if you fall into need? If you do, ask yourself if you are making a wise choice in allowing yourself to become dependent on the government. Read a few things written about the people who lived through Katrina. It might change your thinking. Live through a blizzard here in the north woods.

Now on to another aha moment for me. It was when I saw just how many taxes we pay and leaned how many hours of my life go to just paying taxes. Almost half of my year (and if you work and get paid in frn's so is yours) is spent working to pay taxes. That is half of my time on the job is not spent not working for gain for me, but for the government. The state, if you will. I am working for wages for the state so that the state can take my hard earned wages and spend it on policing me, making sure I pay my taxes, give it away to stupid science experiments or other things I do not approve of at all.

I have concluded that I am not free, I am a slave. And it is the state that “owns” me. I only have as much freedom as they allow me. If I do not pay them rent, they will kick me off their land and not refund the money I have invested in their land. If I do not work for them (pay my income taxes) they will throw me in jail and remove even the veil of freedom that they hide behind.

We do still have a memory of what it is to be free here in this country, but we no longer really are. And as the state tightens the screws as the dollar falls, more people are waking up to the reality that we no longer are the land of the free, but God willing, we will find that we still are the home of the brave.

People are waking up and they are ceasing to practice self-administered cranial-rectal endoscopy (a phrase coined by another patriot - thanks Mr. H) and we need to be here to help them as they see the light. We need to see reality and study the founders and the ideas and philosophies that inspired them to pledge to see freedom delivered to the people of this great land. And we need to call on God for direction even as they did. With God's help, we will restore the republic.

On the move

We have an accepted on our house, and we were blessed by still making a profit. Now it just needs to pass the inspection, FHA and the appraisal....prayers appreciated!

Would love to rent and get a foreclosure, but dh only wants to move once. We have to be out by late Sept. Would love to leave the cold tundra and go south, but job and clients are here, but if God wills....

Tip for the day, check out soapstone stoves. From my research they hold the heat for 8 -12 hours and burn very efficiently. No technology needed. I hope to get one soon as they are on sale until Sept 15 at Woodstock Soaptstone Co.

Hello again

I know it has been too long since I have updated this blog. I wonder if there is even anyone still out there checking in, can't say I expect there to be as it has been so sporadic.

Life happens. And the blog was left in the dust as other things had to be tended to.

My dear number one son has taken a wife and it was a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful day, only supassed by his beautiful bride. They certainly were/are the happen couple.

And now we have finally gotten a serious offer to purcase our house; we will consult with a lawyer tomorrow. And then I will be consumed with finding some where else to reside...somewhere that is bigger than a postage stamp in the middle of a bunch of other postage stamps. Where there are not as many freedom-stealing regulations and prohibitions. Somewhere that is off of city utilities I hope. And somewhere that we can accommodate some family if the need arises and I image that it will. I wish I had the funds to go out to Idaho and join forces with some other like-minded people, but hubby's job is here and he is not the adventurous type.

And my new career is taking off. It is such rewarding work. But for now I am working at the old job and on the new career so there has not been much time to blog.

But I still want to encourage the newbies and wake up the "don't get its" and enlist the seasoned preppers here in the cold state of Wisconsin. I was starting to get my plan together for a "meet up" and now I just don't know.... if...I can eek out the time...perhaps we should just wing it....
I know some folks who could come and speak off the cuff and we would all be blessed, so it is still possible. Actually mid September may be a better time for many, after the harvest is in don't ya know.

Lately I have been hopping mad over the audacity of certain companies trying to say that only they should have the right to produce seed for food...who the h do they think they are! BUT if they heat the pan too fast more frogs are gonna jump out, praise God and tell the .gov to take a hike right out of our lives...oooooh that would be so cool. Take this regulation and shove it, I aint your slave no more...(sung to the tune of take this job and shove it)

Anyway, I will try to update as often as possible. I have so much to say, but so little time to get my thoughts together so that they are coherent. So maybe I will just have to ramble a bit and post "spelling dosen't kount"

Been encouraged tho to hear many say that they absolutley will not let anyone force the flu vaccine on them, whether there is a law that permits it or not. Thank God~

There are heavy metals in those vaccines and they cause more harm than good if ya ask me...I prefer a different kind of heavy metal for this household. And I can share if needed, to a select few.

thoughts on influenza

Well, it appears that my family and I may have had the dreaded h1n1,swine flu. It wasn't bad. I hope it was -so we have some immunity come fall.
Took ds to the doc and they checked for strep, it was negative and they said it sounded like the flu and any flu going around right now is the swine one.
The interesting thing is that it is so mild. I got the cough and it was not pleasant, but a homepathic quelled the cough. It would not help to tell you which one, as homeopathics need to be dealt out for the individual and their specific symptoms.
The other interesting thing is that hospitals are being told to prepare for a large outbreak of flu this fall and at a meeting I attended about another subject, the first topic of discussion was that they strongly, strongly suggested we all get the vaccine as soon as it becomes available, even if we don't usually get the flu vaccine. Said that they expect 5 different kinds of flu going around and that the h1n1 has been mutating.
I don't plan to take any shots. I will relate what a doctor told me though, and I don't know if it is true or not, but they said that the people who died in the big outbreak (in the early 1900's ?) were the ones that took aspirin and if we get the flu, not to take aspirin, ibuprophen or tylenol. Dear son still took it, as his headache was too bad and he seems to be just fine now.

Forced redistibution of wealth verses Charity (Christian theme)

I adhere to the Christian faith and am posting today in that vein. I hope those of you that do not believe as I do, still find truth within.

I read from Acts 4 today and I got to thinking about life and truth. Beginning at verse 29..(HUP's rendition) And now, Lord, take note of their threatenings and grant us to speak Your Word with all boldness; stretch forth Your hand in healing, signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus. They prayed and God answered by shaking the place they were gathered and filling them with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the Word with boldness. Then they were of one heart and one soul and they determined that the things that they owned was not their own, that the things the individuals possessed were to be held in common...and then no one among them lacked. They even sold houses and laid the proceeds at the apostle's feet to be distributed. Great Grace was upon them..... Going on to Acts 5 we see where a married couple decided to sell land and pretend they were giving all of the proceeds to the group, while secretly agreeing to hold back a portion. I am thinking that they wanted to look good, like they were also of "one heart and mind" when they really were not. They both suffered a severe judgement for lying, but what I want to note is what the apostle said in verse 4...When you owned the land, was it not your possession? And after you sold it, was the money not yours also? This clearly shows that God acknowledges that property is to be owned, meaning it is yours and you decide what you want to do with it, and it can be given away by free will. And Free Will is what makes us human. Giving of your substance to see that others have their need met, is called charity or love. It is the way of the Christian's God as I see it. He has given us all we need pertaining to godliness in this life and the next through the giving of His Son and the Holy Spirit.

Now, if property is taken from you (against your will) and given to others without your consent, it is called stealing. And you can take steps against those who stole from you, for stealing is morally wrong and our system is based on these values.

If you enter into a contract with someone to give them your property in exchange for services or anything that benefits you, is it called business. And you enter into business by your own free will and are expected to keep your word and meet your contractual obligations, again based on the Judeo-Christian concept of covenant.

But what is it called when your property is taken from you and given to some goal or person that you do not choose to give charity to and you do not reap any benefit from through contract? Yuppers, it is still called stealing, although most of us have been brainwashed to think it is called taxes. Actually it is Tyranny. The founders of this nation acknowledged that the government only gains its authority by the consent of the governed. And I for one, no longer consent to the form of government I find myself living under; I no longer consent to my money being stolen from me and given to advance immoral goals or given to people I don't personally know and approve to receive my money. The government that the founders gave us, a representative Republic has morphed into a Democracy.

I also pray for boldness to speak this Word of Truth in an atmosphere that labels me a threat to my government. If we are to ever again attain the liberty we had at the beginning of this nation, voices of reason and truth must not be hushed into silence by fear or censorship. I hope many of you out there today will speak up, read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and if you don't understand something, study it, ask someone, google it, contact others with your questions and begin to understand just how far we have become enslaved. Then speak about it to others. Inspire others. Join with us in preparation - of not only the economic turmoil, but the changes in govenment that will also ensue.

roundabouts

Just wondering if any of you folks out there in cyberspace have been experiencing the joy of having multiple "roundabouts" built into your roadways. A roundabout is a new way to direct traffic through an intersection. No stop sign(s) or "stop and go light" as they say in Wisconsin, is needed. Instead, everyone enters into one big circle and goes "round" until they reach the direction they wish to go. Of course you must yield to those already going round in the circle.

I encountered two of the dang things so close together it was a figure 8, and two lanes wide. If you were in the left lane you could not exit the blasted thing and there was not enough room to get over with all the other cars. Being in an area I was totally unfamiliar with, I was not able to navigate them safely and get to the store I could see in the near distance. I kid you not, it was nuts! Who is the person I can thank for these monstrosities? I am sure someone was paid to come up with them...and except for allowing a flow of traffic without using electricity, I really see no good use for them.

In fact I heard that a huge number of people in Green Bay showed up to oppose several of these roundabouts being created, but the council rejected them, then was made to reconsider. I don't remember how it turned out.

So, any one out there have any info and ideas about this? Is there some good reason for them?

As to how it relates to preparedness, well, if you have a bug out route all planned, be sure you know about any of these goofy things that might be coming your way soon and plan accordingly.

Power in Numbers and slight rant

There is power in numbers. And our numbers are growing everyday. More and more people are standing up and saying they are not going to go along with the program any longer. I was just talking to someone I have known for some time, but had no clue he was a "gets it" rather than a "doesn't get it" and I was more convinced than ever that there are so many more of us out there than we even know. Thank God for the Internet that allows us to connect and support each other. And now that the prez is being so outspoken about loving and being committed to the socialistic path we are on, more people are willing to come forward and let their opinions be known, to speak against the ptb and their answers to our national problems.

I find it comforting to meet people who have been in the know for 10 and more years and have been quietly preparing for the events we see unfolding about us.

The question is how do we yield our power? How to we come together and with one voice demand the ptb restore our freedoms? This is not just a political question; this is the essence of what made American the land of the free. How do we best utilize our power? Who will lead us and our movement?

I have friends that really support the tea parties and that is on the surface ok, it is giving those who are newly aware an avenue where they can protest, but they are already being infiltrated and watered down by certain special interest groups and written off by the mass media. I don't doubt that the ptb do recognize that more people are coming forward, and are trying to covertly move the tea parties into being controlled and moved into uselessness.

I fear that civil war is just around the bend and I do not look forward to it. I know there are those that do. Those who are so tired and fed up with being slaves and they think the only way to restore the republic is to take it back by force. Not to say that force is not at times necessary, but I pray somehow we do not come to that. However, if the ptb decide to have U.S. citizens register all guns or start demanding they be handed over, I expect we will go full force into civil war.

Most people just want to be left alone, to be free to live their lives. To make their own choices and to reap the rewards of their own hard work, not see the fruit of their labors go to who the ptb choose to give them. We have been the frog in the pot of water that has been slowing being warmed, but many of us have come to see what is going on and we are out of the pot and helping others to get out too. We are no longer being lulled into a stupor, but are ready to say to the ptb, your position was created to serve, not be served. To protect our rights, not to destroy them. To guarantee our freedoms, not to trample them underfoot.

If we did not have the fall of the dollar looming over our heads, we might have the time to infiltrate the present system and change it from within. But I do not think we will have that option, so we prepare for the collapse of society as we know it and educate ourselves and those around us so that when the ptb say, "we have the solution, one-world currency, one-world government, collectivism is the answer," we will say, nada. We choose freedom and limited government. Local government, small government, limited government. We are learning to grow our own food and take care of ourselves and get back to the common sense values of our ancestors, If you won't work, you won't eat. The choice is up to you.

Of course I am not against charity for those who are truly needy and we admonished to help the less fortunate. But dang if I want my tax dollars going to study cow farts! Our public servants have become insane with the powers they have yielded for way, way too long. They have had way too much of our hard earned money to spend on ridiculous projects. And they have made a mockery of this once great republic.

So it is time we demand the insanity stop and our freedoms returned. But my question remains, what is the best way to accomplish that goal?

We are in a battle and it has many fronts. In my mind the number one front is philosophical. If you do not know what you truly believe and where you draw the line, you could live to regret it. The definition of what is right to do and what is not changes when evil rules, yet many do not understand that. Rahab was praised for lying to her government authories. David faked being insane before a king and saved his own skin. Corrie Ten Boom lied an stole from the German oppressors and hid Jews, which was agaisnt the law.

Another front we fight on is in the media. It is hard to get to the truth when the major media are not unbiased, not interested in getting to the truth, and all most people hear is just propaganda.

And another major battle we face is denial. Even those who are starting to "get it" still fall back into denial because it is much easier than to face the hardships that are coming at us like a locomotive, especially when you are short on funds.

I don't like to go overboard with the warnings and use scare tactics just to frighten people into action, but we really do need to get motivated. If I knew a hurricane was coming within 3 days and did nothing because it was sunny and I didn't want to face facts, I would deserve my fate. If I knew and prepared, but did nothing to warn my friends and neighbors, I would feel responsible for their fate. So I am issuing a warning today friends: PREPARE.

START NOW.
DON'T STOP.
DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.
START WITH YOUR BRAIN---THINK IT THROUGH.
LEARN A NEW SKILL THAT WILL MAKE YOU VALUABLE.
STOCK UP ON FOOD, WATER AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES.
PRAY.
PRAY SOME MORE.

The time is now, today. Spend some time on your preps and let those you love know your concerns about the future. Approach your neighbors and those you see as you go about your day. Share this website with them and ask them if they think there is anything to it. START TAKING THE FALL OF AMERICA SERIOUSLY, because this is what is happening...America is going down the tubes, even as you read this.

I truly believe it will take a miracle to save this once great nation, but I do believe in miracles. I hope you will join me in doing all that we can, and praying that God will do the rest.

I know there are a lot of fellow preppers out there reading this blog and was just wondering if there would be some interest in having a meet and greet. If you are interested, please post a reply and what part of the state would be best for you. It is going to be all about connections as things in the economy get worse. Hopefully we can get some groups formed around the state and host some meetings that are informational as well as instructive for many of the newbies.
