I have given much thought to ways we can stem the tide of what I see coming upon this nation. Some of the most important are: encouraging the use of alternative currencies, ie real money, educating as many people as we possibly can, (especially concerning natural rights verses .gov granted rights), becomig self-sufficient, and the last I will mention today is to promote Oathkeepers. Please visit their site: http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2009/03/03/declaration-of-orders-we-will-not-obey/ and then pass the info along as you can.
When you come down to it, the goons cannot do too much unless they have the cooperation from enough of the sheeple to do their bidding. The way they get that cooperation is to deceive us, to get us to believe the outright lies they tell us. They rewrite history and present it as truth. They infiltrate our groups and cause infighting. They use good moral and even Godly people for their ungodly purposes. May God have mercy on us and grant us to see true truth.
If the ptb do not have “boots on the ground” they will be severely limited. So much of what we need to know is common sense, but common sense is now uncommon! Oathkeepers lays it out so well. And if you think that the things oathkeepers lays out could not possible happen, I beg you to think again. It has happened in the past, and history is often repeated, so we do face these issues that oathkeepers raises.
We think that we are so advanced due to the technological wonders of our day, we think we are all that and a bag of chips, but human nature has been and will be unchanged. We were born into sin and only through the grace of God can we free ourselves of the bonds we were born into. The founders, knowing this, puts checks and balances into the government so as to keep human nature from taking over. Well, it took some time, but we are no longer the land of the free. But most of us still think of ourselves as free...we don't even know just how enslaved we are! Now how's that for the perfect strategy? Get a people to cooperate and do your bidding all the while thinking they are free and working for themselves!
Ayn Rand had some things right when she wrote Atlas Shrugged. I do not care for her morals; she was an atheist and it shows, but the conclusions she draws as to the course we are on were correct. She saw what was coming concerning collectivism and how the ptb would make us into a socialistic society. She understood that capitalism works. I differ from her in that I feel it works based on the principle of “you shall reap what you sow,” and I do not agree with her when she views altruism as a very evil thing. But we do agree about the individual's right to self determination. The difference between us is that I view self determination as granted by God, and individual rights as granted by God. I also feel it is not immoral to lend a helping hand to those in need, but it must be an individual's choice to help, and not forced, either by the threat of violence or through manipulation; the right to own property is the foundation of capitalism. And foundational to all biblical law is the right to own property and self determination. The government the founders wanted was created to secure these individual rights. And that is the limited government to which I would like to return.

I encourage you to fight on every front, to use every platform you are granted and to pray to God for mercy,

simple pleasures

A friend at work recently told me she didn't care how hard times got, she wasn't going to give up her hobbies. “What is the use of working if I never enjoy myself?” she said. I was a little taken aback, seeing as times are hard and so many are out of work and some are beginning to get desperate. But on inquiring what her hobbies were I found they were fishing, and camping etc. and I thought she had chosen some good “hobbies.” But it got me to thinking...what do I really look forward to? What do I really enjoy? Am I so busy prepping that I am losing out on the joys that I could be experiencing today?
The older I get the more I recognize that it isn't the “fancy stuff” that really means something, it isn't that big house, or the new car, or the expensive night out on the town. It is found in the jars of home dried and canned foods lining the pantry, the smell of fresh air as I walk around the country side, the phone call to a best friend back home, and the pride that swells up in my heart when I see one of my kids reach out a helping hand to someone in need.
Simple pleasures. Not contrived by some media hype, some “you need to keep up with the times, so buy this, it's the newest thing” baloney.
There is a timeless, priceless treasure in seeing your baby smile for the first time, or having your grown son search high and low for the perfect song for your mother-son dance at his wedding. I have been so blessed. Not that I haven't had to live through hard times, times when I wish I could just stop the world and get off, times of unbelievable physical pain and gut-wrenching emotional suffering. But by the grace of God, I made it through those times to once again enjoy life's blessings.
Sometimes, I just have to stop and breathe and say for right now, today, I have a warm home to live in, plenty of food to eat, clean water to drink and bathe in, and my family is healthy. I have people who love me, people that I love and that is so very much more than many, many people have. And I have to take a break from prepping, and trying to figure out which scenario could be the one we will need to be ready for and worrying about being ready for every possible contingency. Sometimes I have to choose to be in the present moment, this moment, one where plenty still reigns for most of us and there is peaceable travel and order in society.
I know it won't last long, because on every side I feel the oppression closing in. I know we are not far from the tipping point, a time of upheaval the likes of which few of us have ever seen or can image.
But for today, right now, I will choose to be grateful for simple pleasures. I will seek the face of God and enjoy my family. I will make some beautiful memories. I will count my blessings and I will rest.
May God grant you a grateful heart and a peaceful spirit today,

Lost liberty and ungratefulness

Warning: Post related to writer's spiritual interpretation based on Christianity. If you are adverse to Christianity, you may want to skip the read today, thanks.

Have you ever wondered why we lost our freedoms? Where this great experiment called America went wrong? It is not surprising that we are no longer a free and sovereign people, you know. There are two ways of looking at the issue, and today I want to explore the spiritual one.

“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”

When a group of people get blessed, they tend to become lazy and selfish. It goes back 1000's of years. It was even predicted by God Himself when He warned His people of the danger of becoming ungrateful. Being ungrateful leads to prideful thoughts and prideful thoughts lead to thinking you are self-made and the blessings you have are directly related to your own doing. Your own strength, your own mental acuity, and/or your own talent was what got you blessed and if your think this way, it follows that your blessing(s) is not linked to the Almighty, your relationship to Him and His mercy.

Deuteronomy 8:13,14,17,19 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied.. Then thine heart be lifted up and thou forget the Lord thy God which brought three forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;...And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth....and it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

On the one hand, we can see many areas that we lost our way in, such as allowing certain amendments to the Constitution. But on the other hand, we also lost our way on our spiritual path. Of the first people to sail across the ocean seeking freedom, many had come out of spiritual bondage, being told how they must worship. (Yes, I know the arguments concerning the native Americans and such, but this post does not deal with the injustice they had to bear.) Here in the New World, they were able to pursue God as they saw fit in their our conscience and not as one church or the “State” dictated. Do you think they were grateful?

As the new states were formed, you can see our heritage of honoring God in each state's constitution. Even our federal Constitution relies on the Jewish and Christian traditions of truth and morality and gave honor to God. Prayer was common and still to this day, many governing bodies open with it, albeit to the chagrin on the atheists.

Those that fought the battle for freedom from England called upon God to help them. It took great courage and a granite resolve that they were doing the moral and right thing before God and all of mankind to rebel, and to give their lives in the fight against the tyranny that held them in bondage. And they made certain that they addressed the issues according to the moral and proper procedure, thus keeping a clear conscience before God and man. It was only when King George would not acknowledge their petitions, and the injustice they suffered became intolerable that they understood there was no peaceful options left and began the rebellion. (And in order to again fight this battle today, we will need to understand that we are morally called upon to fight tyranny; that it is our duty before God. But will we come to understand this when most preachers have been indoctrinated into believing that rebellion against the state is rebellion against God? When so many scholars of the Word of God cannot rightly divide it?

Over the years, we as a people were blessed and we grew fat and selfish, not to be confused with self-sufficient, but full of ourselves and we were not vigilant to give thanks to God and diligent to teach our children about Him and the true reasons this nation came to be. We grew lazy and forgot that we needed the Lord and His blessing upon our work, upon our sovereign states. We lost our grateful attitudes and our diligence. We stopped seeking Him and stopped trying to please Him in all our ways.

We, the common people, allowed ourselves to be brainwashed into thinking the “experts” had the answers and we did not have the capacity to understand the way of the world, to teach our own children, to run for office, or even to understand the issues we face. We allowed our history to be re-written and we allowed our children to be taught by others, by those with an agenda. We allowed our children to be indoctrinated into this mentality of thinking that only a few gifted people are capable of understanding the Constitution and the way the world works. Even Naomi Wolf, who is well-educated and now is the author of The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, says she felt separated from the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. To her credit she acknowledges that she had to ask a lawyer friend to explain due process to her. She relates that we are told not to worry about liberty, that we have a special class of people who will take care of that for us. (Please view Naomi relate this and other things you may need to hear at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjALf12PAWc) And so in our ungrateful, selfish and lazy state, we have let them – the self-proclaimed experts, take care of our liberties. And we are now enslaved.

Those who were power hungry devised ways to get more power for themselves and they were diligent and they were successful. Our representative republic was slowly dissolved before our very eyes without our notice, for we did not understand what we were losing. It took time, many years in fact, but now we are very close to the end of even the illusion that we are free as the ptb are running faster than ever before to ensure their absolute control over we the people. How long will it be before we are not able to post thoughts such as these? How long will it be before you will not have the right to choose what you put into your body? (Even now there are mandates being debated to force you to take the H1N1 vaccination.)

I propose the first step into the slow slide of liberty lost began with our becoming lax in our giving of thanks to the Lord, of not being diligent to remember His ways, His works, and His word, to hide them first in our own hearts and then to be diligent to speak of them to our children “when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of they house and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) That scripture gives us the clear picture that we must be constantly reminded of God, His blessings and His ways, that we must be determined to walk in them, and not be slack at any point in our day.

The second step was forgetting the price that was paid for our freedoms and being thankful for the men and women who sacrificed their lives and fortunes, who pledged their sacred honor to the cause of liberty. As it is often said, if we do not learn from history we are bound to repeat it. We have a great need to learn from our own history, and we cannot depend on others to teach it to our children when we are not aware of exactly what is taught when we are not present. It is a short list of who God looks to where children are concerned and it is not a village! Parents are the ones who answer to God for their children.

So where do we start today? We start by being grateful for the few liberties we we still have available to us and if we are truly grateful, we will use these liberties to the fullest. We will use the free press - the internet, and our right to freely assemble. We will use any platform God gives us. We will use everything we have to our advantage to restore our liberties and when we have exhausted those, men and women of honor will again rise up and will do what must be done.

May God have mercy on us,

How dare you!

How dare you? How dare you act as self-appointed slave masters over me...over my children! How dare you steal from me, the little that I have, and all the while go on your way, nodding and smiling, while you vote yourself special privileges. You say men of integrity, true men, men who say what they mean and mean what they say, are a threat to our “way of life.” No, they are not a threat to “our way of life,” they are a threat to you and the power you have found yourself to possess. So you take good men's words and twist them, or more effective yet, you totally ignore them and pretend they and their high moral standards and ideals of liberty are not plausible or are simply, “non-issues.”
So here you are, living the high life, ignorant of, or opposed to, the God-given rights secured to us..WE THE PEOPLE.
You take every precaution to keep your position and power. You carefully choose your words at all times, crafting what you say and how you will say it, always seeking to appease the sheeple. You purposely veil your real agenda, and walk in deceit without repercussion. If forced, you blantenly lie; this has also been without consequence.
Furthermore, you have allowed unconscionable laws to be enacted out of loyalty to special interests groups or your hidden agenda, laws that are used to incarcerate honest, well-intentioned people, people who exercise common sense and good judgment. And you do not have an ounce of conscience left to care.
You sanction laws that teach the young of our society by example and by experience that enslavement is the natural way of life by compelling them to attend the ungodly public institutions of indoctrination called the public schools; and all the while you give your nod of approval as you join in the mantra of “It's all for their good.” Socialism is presented as the answer to all our problem in these institutions, and no one is the wiser because we have been deliberately dumbed down over decades.
You seek to regulate and control everyone you possibly can, ensuring no one can craft a career without paying ridiculous fees for attaining the required “higher education” and then following the “rules” as dictated by you and the State, i.e. requiring people to pass tests and to apply for the privileges of licensure in order to “practice.” And of course the State also reaps fees intermittently for these licenses, thus padding the coffers.
You seek to eliminate my right to defend myself, my family and my property by passing unconstitutional laws that restrict my right to bear arms, thus putting my life and the lives of my loved ones in jeopardy. How dare you!
I have given a portion of my life, of my numbered days, in exchange for a fiat dollar that you allow to be devalued at the whim of few elite bankers so that you have the funds to fight wars and the funds to distribute as you see fit, so that you can keep your position and power.
I am tired of being your slave, and I am not alone. I want you out of my life! I do not need your help or protection and I do not want it. I want LIBERTY.
You have sold your soul and you are about to reap the consequences. WE THE PEOPLE are no longer being deceived by your tactics and we are moving to end your reign of tyranny.

A Small Victory

My last post expressed my concern for the fed gov. pushing the "Hyped Up" Swine Flu vaccine on our children and administering it in our Schools.
I for one, raised local Holy Hell over this and convinced others to do the same!
I spoke with the school administrator and school board chairman as well as many parents in our area.
Without my previous knowledge my 12th grade daughter asked for a private meeting with her principal and with tears in her eye's said to him, "You are responsible for the students in this school....That's your job....Please don't let my friends be hurt...don't allow this vaccine in our school"!
She told me he turned his chair to face away from her and said "You are a very brave young lady and I'll express what you've said to the school board"....
It was announced Friday that our local school district has told the County Heath Dept. they will not allow them to use the school building to vaccinate anyone.
They have since made arrangements to use the Town Hall (for the uninformed/clueless).
I can't say for sure if either I or my daughter made the major difference in that decision but I will say this, "Don't ever think your voice doesn't matter...it does"!
One thing I can say for sure is " I'm one proud Dad "!

Good to see

I went to a political forum the other night and I was so encouraged to see about 150 people show up to hear and ask questions of the candidates for a vote one year away.
The questions were good, and some answers were excellent.

"Dear Candidate, when is it morally acceptable to take my money, my tax dollar, and give it to someone else?" "That's easy, never!" DING DING DING - RIGHT ANSWER!!!!!

One candidate said he would end the fed, one said he would say no even to his own party on principle and one was blah blah blah. Hey, two possible "get-its" out of three made my day!

Of course, I was disappointed that none felt we should be bringing our troops home and get out of other nations' affairs, but I think they will listen and I did have conversation with the two potential liberty lovers after the event.

Time will tell, but I am thinking with the numbers of the Repugnant Party down, it could prove to our advantage to get involved on a state level.. and shouldn't that be where the power rests really?

It was awesome to see and hear people come out and basically say, "We want our freedoms back!" Yuppers, look out you power hungry goons, the natives are definitely restless...
