Tonight as I was watering the seedling cups of several vegtables we've started for the garden the aroma of rich soil filled the air.
That aroma and the site of the sprouts bent toward the days sunlight through the window could only instill some hope in me.
No, I'm not getting mushy here but to see the birth of these little seedlings knowing they will become food for my family does raise the spirt. It takes away from the gloom and doom of what appears to be ahead.
When TSHTF a big part of preperations is a person's mental state. You can have a warehouse full of "beans, bullets and band aids" but finding some of life's simple pleasures are just as important...and maybe more so!
Right now...I'm gonna hit "publish post" and go inhale those seedlings!
Freedom does have an Oder and the aroma is priceless!

The flu and Colloidal Silver
Many years ago I'd heard of the potential benefit of colloidal silver as a preventative to colds and flu. During a stint in which I seem to be catching every bug going around I bought some from a health food store.
Following the directions on the bottle I took it for about a week. I can't say whether it or my own antibodies cured me at that time. I do know I never got sick until the next flu season came around so I began to give this stuff some merit.
I've since learned you don't need to pay big bucks for it at a health food store but can make it yourself for next to nothing. As the effects of colloidal silver are much like that of an antibiotic (penicillin) I thought this to be an excellent "prep" item to have.
For about 6 months now my wife, daughter and I have taken about an ounce a day of this as a preventative to whatever bug may be going around. I can say that my daughter stayed perfectly healthy through two flu bouts in her school and my wife and I have not so much as had a sniffle.
I'd encourage you to do some research on colloidal silver as an alternative to antibiotics and best of all...you can make it yourself without a prescription...(won't that piss off the NWO)!
So google or YouTube "colloidal silver" and give it some thought.
You can find some silver rods and make shift a device yourself but I'll attach a link to what I use.
I have no affiliation with this guy but "hey" he's a former Marine!....semper fi..

Food shortage is comming
I know I'm not alone as I walk though the grocery isles in disbelief at the price increases from week to week ( yes.. I do the shopping as the wife is wheel chair stricken with MS ).
You Lady's may use this post as a defence when your husband asks were you're stashing the caviar you must have bought. (Yesterday's caviar price is today's tuna price)!
A severe food shortage is on the horizon. There are many reasons for this and some are natural. Droughts and floods have recently ruined farm fields around the globe but what disturbs me most....why Obammy has nothing in the stimulus for our farmers?
Many farmers here in the US cannot plant this spring for lack of loans for fertilizer and seed. It seems Obammy's stimulus plan did not include a single penny for the farm industry. Equally disturbing is how the commodity market prices are down yet the retail prices of those same commodities are up!.....hum?
I have an extremely obedient dog. He eagerly obeys my every command and I've never wondered why......it is......because I'm the one who feeds him!!
Controlling sustenance is total control!
If you have started storing food then good for you. If you haven't then start now (though you're probably too late)! When you think you have enough you're only half way there. Plant a garden, learn to hunt and gather.
When Obammy and company approach you with a bone and say "Roll over and be dead" you can then growl and show them your incisors....

Tea Party
I hope as many of you as could made it to one of the Tea Party protests yesterday. I went and was glad I did. I estimated that there were 2000 people there, although our local yocal news station said "dozens" had gathered. Yup, the mainstream is running scared and they should be! Joe q Public is waking up, Thank God and I say that respectfully. I was very glad to see so many people fed up with the tyrants.
We do need to band together and prepare at the same time. We need each other. We need to continue to put pressure on the congresscritters and learn how to take care of ourselves. We need to encoureage each other and offer help as we trudge along this weary path.
I heard a guy speak about how long he thinks we have until we go into hyperinflation...6-9 months, a year at tops. Said he thought they ptb will forgo the Amero and go right to the global currency. Rang true on the inside of me. In fact he said a lot of what I had rumbling around in my gut. God help us. Time is growing ever shorter. Keep the faith, but put your preps in hyper speed if you are able. We may only have this one last summer before the hammer falls.

We're all here to share experience
My concept of the American Prepper's Network is to share knowledge among like minded people who are concerned for the future of our country, our world as we know it and the well being of our family's as things could, can or will decline.
Each state has it's own unique diversities as to it's politics, climate, natural resources and general character of it's populace. Hench the point of intrastate blogs (how can we as neighbors help one another)?
On a national scale we are all on a runaway train with 51 cars. There is one for each state and one for the District of Columbia (owned by wall street and the NWO).....guess which car is the only one with the air bags? (No guys, the cheese head hats ain't gonna stop "this" impact)!
Here we are headed over the cliff in the train car called Wisconsin. We can either put are heads firmly between our legs and kiss our asses goodbye... or we can make our own air bags.
Personally I've found rural Wisconsinites to be a pretty self reliant bunch. Those in our major city's to be government reliant. This would explain our current liberal government (vote for me and I'll give you "free stuff")!.....but I digress....
The purpose of the prepper blogs is to exchange information, for those of us with more experience to help those newly awakened.
As I have lived a self reliant life stile for over 25 years I could write a book on many related subjects. I'd probably title it "Learn from my mistakes"!
We have gone from kerosene lamps and a chemical toilet to an all the bells and whistles stand alone solar electric home.
My dilemma in helping people prep is "who are the readers"? To what stage of preparation are they? Do they at least have their "Beans, Bullets and Band aids"? I don't wish to bore the more prepared with what we may consider basics, nor do I wish to get too technical on a subject.
So help us out people....we'd love to share with you our experiences on the road to independence but you need to pick the subject.
If I don't know then I'll research it and put up some links. If I do know, ya might just get more info than ya wanted!
Please leave a comment on how we can help you prep. It's what the prepper blogs are all about!

The numbers keep growing, Viva Texas
It's now over 30 states telling the fed gov to shove it.
We need to tell our own state reps to send the same message or we'll shove them first!

So where is Wisconsin on the freedom scale?
I have watched in horror as our federal government has trashed our constitution, redefine our rights and are generally trying to heard us into a social corral.
Something you wont hear from the controlled media is how recently more than 25 states have formally reminded the federal government of the 10Th amendment (their right to secede from the union). It speaks volumes that these states felt compelled to do this. The federal government is simply out of control and needs to be reminded of it's limits.
While researching this I came across a link that ranked our 50 states on a scale of freedom. Some of the categories were restrictive laws, income from fines, taxes, size of government and even the percentage of people incarcerated per population. Not surprisingly, Wisconsin was on the very low end of the scale.
When you consider Wisconsin is one of the last remaining states to not allow it's citizens the right to carry a concealed firearm it's a small wonder we scrape the bottom of the freedom barrel.
It's been said, "A government that will not trust it's citizens to be armed SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED"!
As the Tea Party's and protests against our runaway federal government continue....I think we as Wisconsinites need to clean our own house first.
I urge you all to write, call or email comrade Doyle and all your state representatives. Tell them to stop the spending, balance the budget, adhere to the constitution and remind them they work for us not the other way around! It is not their office they sit in, it is ours!
Oh' and while you're at it...ask em why they're afraid to allow us to defend ourselves!

Phoenix police raid home of blogger whose writing is highly critical of them
April 2nd, 2009 · 162 Comments
Carlos MillerIn what should send a frightening chill down the spine of every blogger, writer, journalist and First Amendment advocate in the United States, Phoenix police raided the home of a blogger who has been highly critical of the department.
Jeff Pataky, who runs Bad Phoenix Cops, said the officers confiscated three computers, routers, modems, hard drives, memory cards and everything necessary to continue blogging.
The 41-year-old software engineer said they also confiscated numerous personal files and documents relating to a pending lawsuit he has against the department alleging harassment - which he says makes it obvious the raid was an act of retaliation.
Maricopa County Judge Gary Donahoe signed the search warrant that allowed at least ten cops to raid his home in North Phoenix on March 12 while handcuffing his female roommate for three hours as they tore the place apart.
Pataky, who was out of town on a business trip during the raid, also believes police were retaliating against him for the content of his blog, much of it which comes from inside sources within the department.
“They broke into my safe and took the backups of my backups,” he said in a phone interview with Photography is Not a Crime on Wednesday.
“I can’t even file my taxes because all my business plans are gone. They took everything.” [Read more →]
